NerdAxe Bitcoin Mini Miner, based on Bitaxe Ultra, is a compact Bitcoin ASIC miner featuring a 1.9-inch full-color display and Antminer’s S19XP BM1366 chip. It achieves 500 GH/s with a 5V power supply. The efficiency lies around 20 J/TH.
NerdAxe is a fork from Bitaxe Ultra with full-color display graphics. It as a fully open-source Bitcoin ASIC miner equipped with Antminer’s S19XP BM1366 ASIC chip.
NerdAxe was basically designed as an expansion board for people who own a NerdMiner and would like drastically improve their mining power (compared to NerdMiner), while still staying true to the NerdMiner spirit. That’s why NerdAxe is currently controlled by the common board used on Nerdminer project, the TTGO-TDisplayS3 often referred to as “The Lilygo”.
So compared to the NerdMiner, which more like a fancy table block clock, NerdAxe can indeed be considered a real miner. Its design ensures efficient and powerful mining capabilities, achieving 500 GH/s with an energy efficiency of 20 J/TH. It operates on a 5V DC power supply connected via a 2.5/5.5 mm barrel connector.
Nerdaxe uses a Bitronics custom version of ESP-miner and AxeOS, the open-source firmware designed by Bitaxe devs that grants you complete control over your mining operations. The intuitive web interface simplifies configuration adjustments and performance monitoring, making mining more accessible and streamlined.
Features:
- Full graphic 1.9 inch IPS screen
- Elegant, simplistic 3D printed stand – in orange or black
- Nerdaxe v1.0.2
- Two control buttons
- Bitmain’s BM1366AL chip
- Operates on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only
- Requires a 5V power supply with at least 4A – optionally available
- Easy setup via the AxeOS portal.
- Features a built-in web interface for monitoring operational parameters of the miner, logs, and performing firmware updates.
Already feeling lucky, anon?
The current mining capabilities of Nerdaxe position it as a solo miner compatible with any solo mining pool. Alternatively, you could run Nerdaxe as a Worker in a pool to mine a couple of Satoshis every day.
It’s important to manage expectations regarding its solo performance. Mining a block independently with Nerdaxe has a very low change of success. But it has happened. 🙂 That’s why some consider it playing the Bitcoin lottery.

Nerdaxe was designed by @BitMaker_ but could not be possible without the previous work of @skot9000, @johnny9dev, @public-pool_BTC & other Bitaxe devs.
Thanks to @wantclue for the continuous support. Please check out the awesome project Open Source Miners United (OSMU)
Please note: When mining with the Nerdaxe finding a Block is highly unlikely, because its mining power is so small that the chances of finding the block before another miner are extremely low. Although Bitaxe miners have already found a block, this product in its current state should be considered rather an educational device or a gadget than a miner.
